Magical/occult knowledge: Grace cataloged all magic known to her world in a journal that was later passed down to her descendants.In the alternate timeline, Abbie Mills asked for Grace's assistance in reversing the Traveler Spell in order to revert the timeline back to its original state. Witchcraft: Grace Dixon like her friend and employer Lachlan Fredericks knew about the supernatural world and the evil Tree Monster outside Fredericks Manor.Crane and Abbie also find out that Abbie is a descendant of Grace. Grace later appears and lights the way for an exit for Abbie, Crane, and Lena Gilbert to escape the Tree Monster. In the present time, Grace's ghost appeared in the manor beckoning Abbie Mills, who followed the ghost only to see the vision of Katrina giving birth. Katrina and Abraham arrived at Frederick Manor to stop Grace's attempt to reverse her spell, but failed and Abbie was propelled back to her own time and countered the Traveler's Spell and the original timeline was saved. After Crane explained Abigail's situation, Grace told them about the Abiero Spell which would be able to return Abigail to her own prior to when Katrina cast the spell, but will also leave them vulnerable as Grace had to draw the energy that usually shielded the manor. Grace then understood, and surmised that Abbbie is the second witness. Was in fact her descendant from centuries ahead. In Tempus Fugit, Grace Dixon was met by Captain Ichabod Crane and Abigail Mills when they were instructed by Benjamin Franklin to go to Fredericks Manor who said there was a possibility that she may be able to reverse the Traveler's Spell cast by Katrina Crane. Terrified neighbors deposited him in a home for war orphans. Jeremy's cry, however, caused a fire that killed Grace and her husband, while leaving Jeremy unscathed. Still pursued, Katrina left Jeremy in the custody of Grace and her husband in order to protect him from the coven. When the birth caused the wards to be broken, she took the woman and child and escaped with them. Grace brought the laboring woman inside and safely delivered her son, Jeremy.
It was in Fredericks Manor Katrina Crane sought Sanctuary when being pursued by her coven. She first met Mr and Mrs Ichabod Crane there during the war at a reception given by Lachlan Fredericks. He was a noted abolitionist, and all of his staff were freedmen and woman who worked for wages. Fredericks Manor was the stronghold of the white warlock Lachlan Fredericks who kept his home as a both a worldly and other-worldly sanctuary for others. Born in the American Colonies in 1751, she worked as the matron of the house at the sanctuary of Fredericks Manor in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
