I loved the snarky attitude of Everett, and the total commitment phobe that Silas was. There begins the tale and let me tell you… it dragged me in, and I stayed up way to late finishing the book. He sees the young man stumbling along and picks him up. Silas Sloane is O’Leary’s favorite police officer, and he is rushing back along the same road from a date gone bad when he got a call to return to O’Leary for an unrelated incident. Was it a ghost? With no other options, Everett is soon on his way down the road, dragging a suitcase and the cat carrier with him.Īlong comes the proverbial white knight. He stumbles up onto the road but there isn’t a man in sight. He turns quickly and misses the man, but in the process goes off the road and wrecks his car.

We meet this man named Everett Maior who is being forced by his mother to return to his family’s home town of O’Leary, New York to take care of his elderly Grandfather who has fallen and broken his leg.Įverett is on his way to O’Leary through a series of sharp turns deep in a heavily forested area when a man stumbles onto the road in front of him. I knew from almost page one of The Fall, that I was going to enjoy this author and this book. I think I’ve read every book available in the series and I’ll be reviewing them each in turn. I stumbled onto this series on Amazon and thought this first book sounded interesting. Can they find their way to a future together, even as ghosts from the past threaten to tear them apart? Strange disappearances are plaguing O’Leary, though, even as Silas and Everett find their growing attraction undeniable. Snarky and superstitious, he’s proficient at keeping people at a distance… Until he lays eyes on Silas. He never wanted to become primary caretaker for his grandfather and has no interest in living the provincial life.
